Please give me legal advice. What is meant by court summons?

The court has sent summons to my house that I have to attend the court in about 15 days. In the court summons there are only 100% false allegations against me and my parents. My parents and I are innocent. I have not done anything wrong and I am innocent. I want to protest by not attending the court. Please give me legal advice as to what will happen if I don't attend the court? What will be the consequences? Will they put a fine on me? Will they send me to jail for not attending the court? I am a poor Instructor. My salary is very meagre. I cannot afford to hire a lawyer. Please advise me.
